To explain a dad's unfailing love

Archibald and his dad watch the swallows leave for the other side of the earth: "Will I be able to go that far too when I'm older?" Archibald asks. "Further even than that", his dad replies.
"But what if the wind picks up?" Archibald asks. "If the wind picks up, the wind will pass", his dad answers.
Archibald's questions follow one after the other, revealing one by one the fears of the child at the idea of this great journey which, we realise, is the journey of life.
In response, Dad soothes, informs, encourages, frees and, above all, reassures Archibald of his unfailing love...
