For our smock we went with snap buttons. It might seem like a small detail to you, but for independence it means a lot! Very easy to do up (and undo) even with little hands that are still a bit chubby. Also handy: the small loop at the back, so they can hang it up all by themselves on the coat hook.

Our smock is indestructible. We chose a 100% cotton twill, both soft and sturdy enough to withstand, without giving way, the thousand and one activities of your little ones. When we say it's made of good stuff… !

At Petit Picotin, our smock is designed to withstand all the artistic adventures of kindergarten and primary school, with style and comfort.
Both terms are used, but we tend to say smock or school coat in nursery or primary school when it refers to a full garment, with long sleeves, that fastens at the front. The word "apron" is more commonly used for sleeveless versions.
From the start of nursery school, around 2.5 / 3 years old. Our smock is perfect from the youngest class, with its oversized cut that adapts to the child's growth throughout the year.
