Séraphine's daily life as a graphic designer at Petit Picotin

Working at Petit Picotin is not just about creating pretty images: it's about telling stories, imagining worlds and sharing ideas with the whole team. Today, we take you along with Séraphine, our graphic designer, to discover her daily life, her sources of inspiration, her challenges… and a few anecdotes!

A varied daily life driven by projects

Days that are never the same

Séraphine's days are anything but routine: "My days are very different. I can be on a shoot, filming, at the printer's, in front of my computer for several hours or rushing around the studio preparing content…"

A flexible organisation

"I love arriving early in the morning. My mind is fresh to tackle the most important tasks of the day. I always start by progressing or completing projects, so I can share them with my colleagues during the day. Then I go with the flow, because new projects, ideas or requests can arrive at any moment and throw my whole organisation into disarray. But that's what I love!"

She regularly catches up with Astrid, the founder, and Guillemette, Head of Communications, to structure her ideas and share progress on projects. These exchanges are essential to her: "Their input is always a great help — we work a lot together."

Varied and multi-faceted missions

A team effort

Being a graphic designer at Petit Picotin means touching everything: web, communications, product, marketing, publishing, video… Séraphine works with all departments, which makes her role both central and stimulating. "I work with all departments! That's what being a graphic designer is all about! I cover so many subjects… I wear many hats!"

The part that takes the most time

The duration of a project often depends on coordination with the team, the printer and suppliers. "It's very unpredictable! I'm never really alone on a project… Depending on everyone's progress, the project can take more or less time. It's always a team effort!"

Creation, the heart of the craft

What are your sources of inspiration?

"In my everyday life. When you're passionate about your work, keeping an eye on trends comes to you naturally… But when I have a creative block, that's when I take the time to browse Pinterest, Instagram, or magazines and brochures."

Turning ideas into collections

The year 2026 is shaping up to be very busy for Petit Picotin: new collections to imagine, visual identities to define, lookbooks to design, press releases to prepare… Séraphine throws herself into each of these missions with one goal: to visually tell each story and give a unique identity to each collection. Between searching for inspiration and creating graphic variations for all formats, her work requires precision, organisation… and a great deal of creativity! Every element counts, from the choice of colours to typography, and that's precisely what makes her craft so exciting!

What makes her graphic designer's heart beat

Seeing creations come to life

What Séraphine loves most of all is creating collection identities and taking part in photo shoots and video productions. "I'm lucky enough to take part in the photo shoots for the collections… So when I'm back at the office, with the final photos and videos in hand, after having watched them come to life during the shoot, it's amazing. That's when inspiration strikes!"

Her biggest challenge

Packaging, without a doubt!

"Everything to do with packaging! I'm in charge of creating the designs for gift boxes, shipping cartons, kraft pouches… It's always a stressful task, because everything has to be perfect. Once the design is approved, there's no going back! But that's what makes these projects so exciting."

An anecdote to share?

The job of a graphic designer also has its share of unlikely and very amusing moments: "To promote our moumoute collection, I came up with a video referencing Les Bronzés font du ski… It's not every day you find yourself playing Gérard Jugnot to promote a fluffy backpack!"
